How to open a URL in a new tab

HighWayPro gives you control over how the short URLs that are inside your articles will be opened and whether to tell search engines not to follow the link (or in practice, not to pass the link juice of your site/page).

Make short links open in a new tab.

There are two way to make your highWayPro links open in a new browser tab.

1.- Globally. If you want to change the behaviour for all your HighWayPro URLs by default, go to the Preferences tab > Post Links > When short links inside your content are cliked and select “open in new tab“. Click elsewhere on the dashboard to save the changes.

2.- Per URL. You can override the global setting by going to the URLS tab, select the desired URL and in the ROUTES tab, scroll to the bottom of the screen. Inside the In-content links section, select the “open in new tab” value for the When clicked option. Click elsewhere on the dashboard to save the changes.

The same process applies to the Follow type option.
